Welcome to First Steps Lacrosse – Clarendon Hills, IL

First Steps Lacrosse is an engaging youth lacrosse program focused on developing physical literacy in youth through the sport of lacrosse. Our caring and experienced team developed First Steps Lacrosse to positively impact kids through fun, imaginative games and lessons.

The First Steps Lacrosse curriculum focuses on the development of physical literacy through age-appropriate games. Physical Literacy is the movements and skills needed to play sports and lead an active and healthy life. Learning these skills opens the door not only to lacrosse but other game and sports down the road. Creating positive attitudes towards physical activity early in a child’s development can change their life!

Our Clarendon Hills program will kick off it’s 2nd season of First Steps Lacrosse on Saturday, September 22, 2018!

Kelsey Barnholt

Clarendon Hills, Community Coordinator

Kelsey lives in Clarendon Hills with her husband, Kyle, and two daughters, Kendall & Kamryn. Kelsey, who played high school and collegiate lacrosse, developed a passion for fitness and nutrition when she began running road races during college. Kelsey has run many races of varying distances, from 5k races to the marathon, and continued to run during both of her pregnancies.

Kelsey has a true passion for fitness and setting a positive example of a healthy lifestyle.

After the birth of her daughter Kendall, Kelsey became a Fit4Mom Certified Instructor to finally pursue those passions. And now through the First Steps Program, Kelsey hopes to spread her love for lacrosse to her daughter and other children!
